Parking concessions for people who hold a Blue Badge travelling as passengers or driver will find the spaces clearly marked with the symbol. The Blue Badge scheme is a National and European scheme and in Norwich is administered by Norfolk County Council Social Services,contact telephone number is 0344 800 8015. Parking spaces on Brigg Street, London Street and Gentlemens Walk have a four hour waiting time limit, all others have no time limit at all.

You can also park free of charge in the on street pay and display parking spaces and in any of the pay and display surface car parks. Allocatedspaces with level access are also available in St. Andrews and St. Giles multistorey car parks but normal charges apply.Blue Badge holders can also park on yellow lines provided they do not create or cause an obstruction or park in such a way as to affect the safe and free flow of traffic or park where there is a loading ban.

                                    SHOPMOBILITY IN NORWICH

This scheme is available from Castle Mall and Chapelfield to make shopping that bit easier and offers the loan of scooters, electric wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs to people who are either temporarily or permanently disabled plus elderly people with walking difficulties. The service is inter changeable between the two centres and the "Wheels" can be used throughout Norwich within the inner city ring road. Users at Chapelfield are entitled to four hours free parking but your ticket needs to be validated at Shopmobility. A years membership costs £5 plus a  charge of £1.50 per loan, manual wheelchairs cost £3 per day on a temporary basis or £1.50 with membership, there is also a £25 returnable deposit. To register your membership you will need to bring along  two forms of identification which be two of the following:-  Blue Badge, Passport, Driving Licence, Utility Bills.
