MEMORY BOXES ARE HELPING OLDER PEOPLE UNLOCK AND ENJOY LONG FORGOTTEN EXPERIENCES.
These kits are available to hire from Norfolk County Council libraries and are packed with simple items to prompt memories, for example old records, Green Shield stamps and old fashioned kitchenware, The kits are themed, domestic life, women's world and men's world, also included are instruction books, CD or DVD and tips on how to get the best out of the kits. The objects work well because they relate to the things the people were doing so often, things they might have forgotten but the kits help them to share those experiences again.
The kits are a joint venture between Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service with the Library Service. There is also a trial scheme running across Norfolk entitled Carers Cafes where those caring for someone with Dementia can drop in and find out more information on the resources that are available. CINEMA EXHIBITORS ASSOCIATION CARD
Welcome to The Cinema Exhibitors' Association Card Website. This is a national card that can be used to verify that the holder is entitled to one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. Terms and Condition of use apply.
To apply for the card, you will need to meet one or more of the following criteria:
a) Be in receipt of the disability living allowance or attendance allowance.
b) Be a registered blind person.
The card is valid for 1 years from the date of issue.
